Sustainability

Our commitment to sustainability

At Lake Colac Holiday Park, we recognise the importance of protecting the natural environment and contributing positively to the community we call home.

As part of Belgravia Leisure, our approach is supported by broader organisational commitments to responsible operations, environmental sustainability and emissions reduction. At a park level, we look for practical ways to reduce waste, use resources responsibly and encourage our guests to do the same.

Current sustainability initiatives in our park include:

  • Solar panels installed on the roof of our shed
  • Containers for Change program – with proceeds donated to community groups
  • Improved recycling stations throughout the park to reduce landfill waste
  • Working closely with Heritage Victoria to ensure protection of our environment when planning upgrades and improvements
  • Using local suppliers where possible

Belgravia Leisure’s Sustainability Plan

Lake Colac Holiday Park is guided by Belgravia Leisure’s Five Year Sustainability Plan.

The plan sets out our environmental priorities and measurable objectives through to 2030, with a focus on reducing waste to landfill and plastic waste, greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption and potable water use, while continually improving environmental practices across our operations.
