Lake Colac
Fyans Street, Colac With a surface area of 2,778 hectares and a circumference of 33kms, Lake Colac is the largest natural freshwater lake in Victoria and has an average maximum depth of 2.5 metres.
Red Rock Volcanic Lookout
Overlooks Lake Corangamite. Breath taking 360o views. Located on the eastern side of the Kanawinka Global Geopark which is Australia’s first global geopark.
Old Beechy Rail Trail
An excellent example of an old railway line being turned into a recreational asset, the Old Beechy Rail Trail is 45.2 kilometres long and runs from Colac to Beech Forest on the disused Crowes narrow gauge railway line. It is a gravel track which is suitable for both cyclists and bushwalkers with some areas accessing public roads. Starting point in Colac is the Colac Railway Station, Gellibrand Street.
